| The mediaeval castle with origins dating back to the 10th century in the heart of the Chianti comprises of 52 hectares of land, of which 17 hectares are vineyards. The estate was restored from 1996 to 2001, replacing the entire infrastructure and installing all services underground. A new state-of-the-art wine cellar was completed 2001, including offices and an impressive tasting room. The winery can produce between 60,000 and 100,000 bottles of wine, depending on selection and year. Since the first introduction under its own label, the wines have received high ratings by Italian and international wine journalists. Additionally a high-level restaurant was created, which is owned by the estate company. |
