| Il Castellare is a beautifully restored country estate close to the hamlet of Chiusdino in the area of Siena, plunged into an amazing scenery of natural woods where peacefulness is queen. The farmhouse has been recently restored according to the old structure. Three charming and very comfortable apartments with wood beams, fireplace and terracotta pavement accomodate a total of 11+1 persons. The estate offers large greens, spacious swimming pool and a private area with garden furniture. You will have the chance to walk, jog, or bike around the tracks within the woods of the estate and the surrounding area. You will see secular oaks, chestnuts, and with a bit of luck even some typical Tuscan animals such as squirrels, pheasants and woodpeckers!
The area in the south west of Siena is called Montagnola Senese and is close to the geothermal area of the “Colline Metallifere”. The last part of the road that leads to "Il Castellare” is a metalled road (about 600 metres).

Free of charge bicycles for the guests.

Il Castellare offers a high level of comfort and peacefulness within pure nature. Due to its location between Siena and the Mediterranean Sea each of these destinations lies within one hours drive. The quiet and solitaire position of the property makes it a perfect place for small groups such as families and friends. Each of the bedrooms has got its own bathroom, most of them with hydro massage showers. The apartment Quercione is suitable for handicapped persons. |
