17th century manor house with vineyard at the gates of Perugia
This important old manor house was already mentioned in the land registers of 1632 and was in the course of the centuries in the possession of very famous families. Today the property has approx. 450 m² of living space in the main villa and an outbuilding of approx. 30 m², which is used as a woodworking room, as well as approx. 3 ha of park, garden and meadow with a small vineyard. The manor house from the 17th century was extended in the 19th century by a wing and a further extension was added at the beginning of the 20th century. The strictness of the original 17th century building seems to have been refined by the later structural changes. The manor house is surrounded by a 5,000 m² garden with rose and peony bushes, as well as tall trees, olive and fruit trees. For the irrigation of lawns and plants there is a well which provides plenty of water. The house has two floors connected by an internal staircase and additionally each floor has its own entrance. On the ground floor there is a large entrance hall, a spacious eat-in kitchen, a dining room and two living rooms, as well as a bathroom. The first floor has a large living room, a second spacious living room, 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. The building has two porches, one on the south side, the other on the west side. A cellar, attic and several storage rooms are also available. The floors are mainly made of antique terracotta or parquet. Some rooms have a fireplace. The property has the grandeur of the past, combined with the comfort of a contemporary home and the luxury of privacy at the gates of Perugia.
