Real estate for sale - Country houses
Spacious country house with tower and large rooms 20 km from Florence

The origins of the villa date back to the 16th century and were initially limited to a tower with a loggia as the central part, whose natural stone wall with a typical retaining wall - called sperone - is clearly visible at the back of the villa. Later, the building was extended and served as a country residence and hunting lodge for a noble Florentine family. Today, after its restoration in 2009/2010, the villa presents itself in new splendour.
In front of the villa is a spacious terrace made of natural stone, adjoined by an English garden. Below this garden is an open water basin and an old hidden cistern.
The ground floor of the villa: You enter the villa and find yourself in a spacious salon with a high ceiling and a large fireplace. From here you have access to various rooms. To the right you enter another living room, to the right of the fireplace a huge bedroom with bathroom, large shower and separate toilet, to the left of the fireplace another bathroom, and to the left a library/reading room. Here you have access to another huge bedroom with bathroom, and straight ahead into a large kitchen with dining area and a fireplace with oven that takes up half the width of the wall, as well as access to the terrace. From the kitchen there are accesses to a third bedroom with bathroom on this level, a staircase to the upper floor and a staircase in the middle of the kitchen to the basement.
Once on the upper floor - the former tower - you find yourself in a hallway with cupboards, from which you have access to a large bathroom with shower and bath, a bedroom and a covered loggia.
The basement is divided into a kitchen-living room with loggia, two bedrooms, a bathroom and three cellars.
The villa is flanked by three outbuildings: Below the villa are the outer walls of an unrestored outbuilding without a roof, which the owner uses as a car park. Another small outbuilding between the terrace and the garden serves as a tool shed, and the third outbuilding behind the villa has a modern wood heating system installed, which keeps the whole building warm by means of underfloor heating.
The water supply is ensured by a private well and spring water.
