Winery with 15 hectares of vineyards in the Siena-Arezzo-Florence triangle
The winery is located in a hilly landscape in the triangle of Siena, Arezzo and Florence with vineyards, olive groves, forests, chestnut groves, as well as picturesque castles, palaces and farmhouses.
The winery was founded in 1972 when the father gave his son three hectares of Chianti vineyards together with a small wine cellar. In the years 1990/2000, the business developed considerably through the acquisition of land and facilities. A further modernisation process in 2006 led to an increase in the total area used for the cultivation of vineyards, olive groves and arable land.
The company cultivates an area of approximately 85 hectares, which are divided as follows:
- 13.5 ha of Chianti DOC vineyard;
- 1.5 ha IGT vineyard;
- 2.7 hectares of olive groves;
- 8.5 ha of arable land intended for viticulture;
- 6.5 ha of arable land;
- 2 ha of lakes;
- 53 ha of forest.
The total grape production is currently around 160,000 kg per year and the number of bottles produced annually is around 40,000.
The vineyards are located 18 kilometres from the winery.
